Alex lovatt has been involved in standards and regulations since 1971 with military specifications whilst serving in the royal air force.
From 1973 he was involved in type approval of fax machines including a member of the team that submitted the g3 bis standard to ccitt. He was also a founder member of bficc.
From 1983 to 1989 he was responsible for telecommunication equipment type approval across Europe for mitsubishi electric which included GSM.
Recent developments with PC based systems has required investigation into PC chassis from various manufacturers to determine suitable platforms.
